Is this a self study course? Must I physically attend classes?

The CSCP is a self-directed study program. All essential tools and materials may be found on the Examination Preparation home page.In addition to the aforementioned, candidate's formal education, professional training, and practical experience will aid in preparing for the CSCP. There are no additional prerequisites such as on-line courses or face-to-face seminars for the CSCP examination.

How do I obtain study materials for the examination?

The printed CSCP Candidate Handbook and the CSCP Curriculum on CD-ROM are mailed to candidates once they have paid and registered through Pearson VUE. However, HTML and pdf formats are available for free on our Website for you to review and assess prior to committing to the program.

Are there practice exams or sample questions?

Not at this juncture. This venture is too new and our item bank is simply not mature/robust enough to provide stand-alone sample items or items for practice exams.

Must I be an NSCP member to qualify?

NSCP membership has no bearing on the CSCP program.

How far in advance can I register for the exam?

When you register you will need to pay the $695 fee and schedule your testing appointment; appointments can be made up to a maximum of six (6) months in advance.

Are there testing windows?

There are no "windows." Testing is available Monday through Saturday, barring any holidays and depending upon availability, through Pearson VUE.
