Scheduling Your Appointment
Once your application questions are completed, you will schedule your exam appointment. Individuals are scheduled for examination appointments on a first-come, first-served basis. It is ill-advised to wait until the last moment to attempt to schedule an appointment. Appointments may be scheduled a minimum of one (1) business day in advance and up to a maximum of six (6) months in advance. Unscheduled candidates (walk-ins) will not be admitted to testing centers.
Testing Centers
Testing centers have been selected to provide accessibility to the most candidates in all states and major metropolitan areas. A complete listing of testing centers, including addresses and driving directions, may be found on Pearson VUE's website located at www.pearsonvue.com/nscp. Candidates may also take a virtual tour of a Pearson Professional Center at www.pearsonvue.com/ppc/.
Confirmation Letter
After submitting all required portions of the application, scheduling the exam appointment, and submitting the appropriate fee, Pearson VUE will send the candidate a confirmation letter. This letter will include the date of the scheduled exam appointment, directions to the test center and applicable policies and procedures. Directions to the testing center may also be accessed at www.pearsonvue.com.
No-Show / Tardy Policy
Candidates who fail to appear for the examination (no-show) or arrive at the testing center more than 15 minutes late for their appointment will not be permitted to test. A complete application and examination fee are required to reapply for the examination.
In the event of a personal emergency, a candidate may request consideration to reschedule the examination without paying an additional fee by contacting NSCP in writing within 30 days of the scheduled appointment. A description of the emergency and supporting documentation must be submitted with the request. Rescheduling without an additional fee will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Reschedule Policy
Candidates requesting to reschedule their CSCP testing appointment are required to pay a $50 administrative fee at the time the exam is rescheduled. Candidates who wish to reschedule their CSCP testing appointment but fail to contact Pearson VUE at least one (1) business day prior to the scheduled appointment will forfeit their application fee if they fail to appear for their scheduled appointment.
