Bahar is Senior Consultant in the Team Sustainable Infrastructure, Products and Services with a main focus on circular economy and related business models. She supports private businesses and sector initiatives in multi-stakeholder processes. Her expertise ranges from CSR, green logistics and product sustainability assessment to sustainability reporting, standardisation and stakeholder management.

For more than 12 years, she has been working on sustainability management with partners and companies from retail and industry in various sectors to develop strategies and sustainable solutions that enable resource saving and socially responsible business practices. Also strengthening the understanding towards sustainability on business and social level by increasing supply chain transparency and standardized consumer communication are part of her work.

Before joining the CSCP Bahar was responsible for the Competence Center Sustainability at GS1 Germany with the goal to drive circular economy, digitalisation and standardisation projects collaboratively with various business partners and stakeholders. She also managed, implemented and developed Lean and Green in Germany to reduce carbon emissions in logistic processes and warehousing.

Bahar studied Biology at the Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf and holds a doctorate in Biochemistry.

Bahar is a German national.
