Kai joined the Sustainable Infrastructure, Products and Services (SIPS) team as a Student Assistant in January 2021.

Born in a very rural place in South-Westphalia, Germany, he was connected to nature from day one. While growing up, Kai got more and more interested in human behaviour and decision-making. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Business Psychology from the University of Applied Sciences in Hamm where he focused his studies in the field of behavioural economics. During his studies, he got attracted to the topic of climate change and sustainable development which resulted in the enrolment into the master’s program Sustainability Management at the University Wuppertal. Kai is motivated by his belief that the transition to a sustainable society can be achieved by altering daily decision-making processes. Hence, he engages in the transition towards a future where the sustainable choice becomes the rational choice.
His main interests lie within sustainable decision-making, circular economy and the concept of regenerative business models.

Kai is a German national.
