High-level German Stakeholders Taking Action Against Food Waste

The German Steering Committee of the EU research project REFRESH successfully finalised the Framework for Action to combat food waste across the whole value chain. Meeting for the second time, the Committee members include Metro, Nestlé Germany, Penny, Sodexo, the relevant ministries on the national and the regional level, the German Council for Sustainable Development, Verbraucherzentrale NRW and FH Münster University of applied Sciences, supported by Foodsharing e.V., WWF Germany and the University Witten/Herdecke. CSCP at EU-INNOVATE “Supporting Innovation For Sustainable Lifestyles”

As a part of the INNEON Network for Eco-Innovation Financing, the CSCP was invited join the EU-InnovatE workshop ‘Supporting innovation for sustainable lifestyles’ to discuss the role of the consumer as innovator and trendsetter in social and environmental sustainability processes. The workshop presented the first results of the three-years research project EU-InnovatE that involved 12,000 consumers in all European countries, business leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, academics and discussed these with sustainability experts from Central Europe (especially Poland, Germany, Estonia and Hungary).
