Extending the lifetime of electronic devices has become increasingly important as technological advancements are entering ever shorter innovation cycles. Using devices for longer periods of time saves emissions, valuable materials, and money. Do you own and still use an old device that might need a little upgrade? Let us know and you may profit repairing or refurbishing support from the “Pro-long the life of electronic appliances” campaign!

Against the backdrop of growing packaging volumes, these policy recommendations aim to support effective packaging avoidance and reuse strategies as well as the highest possible recycling of the remaining single-use packaging. Recognising that the diverse needs of consumers are often not sufficiently taken into account when developing new circular solutions, the eleven recommendations aim to close packaging loops from a strong consumer perspective. The recommendations (in German) are the result of an intensive exploration and discussion on effective measures to address urgent behavioural challenges in packaging.
Call for Collaboration
In 2019, the European Union committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050 in order to combat climate change and mitigate the associated risks. This may seem like a distant future, but in reality, we should accelerate our pace and urgently improve our actions if we are to achieve this goal. As the Union’s most ambitious strategy to date, the EU Green Deal sets out a comprehensive plan for all actors in society to contribute to a sustainable and inclusive future for all. Read our newsletter for further insights on how sustainable behaviours are key to driving positive change!

"WRAP are delighted to partner with the CSCP to find ways of transferring the collaborative approach to food waste measurement and prevention in the UK to Germany. Together with the CSCP we want to find innovative ways to decrease food waste in Germany with a broad coalition of companies, civil society actors, political institutions and scientific institutes."
