Our New Project KochCup Will Inspire Trainee Chefs to Create Healthy and Sustainable Meals

The far-reaching effects of our diets and food production on the climate and biodiversity through land, resource and water consumption are a call on all relevant actors to take action and make environmentally-friendly food available and accessible to everyone. The LIKE A PRO Project Kicks Off: Mainstreaming Alternative Protein Products Across Europe

Europeans have never been more interested in alternative protein foods*. Such pull is an excellent opportunity to shift toward more sustainable diets, in line with the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork Strategy. Despite increasing interest on more sustainable alternatives, animal-based products still make up for almost 70% of the Europeans’ protein intake, with 95% of them consuming animal-based products on a daily basis.** Our LIKE A PRO project aims to accelerate the shift toward and normalise healthier and more sustainable dietary patterns by diversifying and increasing the availability, accessibility and uptake of alternative sources of protein and […]

How Digital Tools Can Help You Reduce Your Footprint: Test Our PSL Tool on 9 November 2022 in Solingen!

Breaking up with old routines or endorsing high-impact changes is not always a straightforward process. This is why options for sustainable behaviour should be flexible enough to fit the reality of life and the respective life phases of different people – what is difficult for one might be easy for another, and opposite. Over the course of the past months, our PSLifestyle project has looked closely into questions such as, how can citizens be encouraged to reduce their personal carbon footprint through exemplary actions for a sustainable everyday life? How should these actions be formulated?  Which actions overlap or are […]

Closing the Gap Between Circularity and Sustainability with Our ‘sustainable.circular’ Programme

Think of the following: a product might be made of 100 % recycled materials, but if its production was energy intensive, the social aspects were neglected in the value chain, and the product itself has a high carbon emission during the use phase, it will inevitably fall short of being sustainable as well. The Circular Economy is not sustainable by default. CSCP’s new sustainable.circular programme was developed with this core idea in mind: to ensure that circular economy efforts are guided by a clear objective to achieve greater sustainability. We are proud to have our first round of the programme […]

Toward a European Bioeconomy: Don’t Miss Our Scalibur Project Final Event on 19 October 2022!

Rethinking municipal solid waste management is a central element in the transition to a circular and bio-economy. Yet, this remains a significant challenge for many European cities. A successful implementation of a circular and bio-economy needs to account for a reduction in the amount of (bio)waste deposited in landfills while enhancing the share of (bio)waste that can be returned to the system after recycling. In the course of four years, the SCALIBUR project worked together with a wide array of stakeholders to inspire a revolution in urban (bio)waste recycling in Europe. Leading waste management companies, technology developers and research organisations […]
