Latest Evaluation of the #WirDrehenRunter Campaign Shows German Households are Washing at Colder Temperatures

The latest evaluation of the colder washing campaign, #WirDrehenRunter carried out by Procter & Gamble (P&G) Germany and WWF Germany with the scientific support of the CSCP shows how clear information, hands-on experiences, and direct dialogue can make the climate-friendly choice the easy one. The result: this year’s evaluation of washing behaviour in Germany shows that the average washing temperature has decreased by 1.5°Csince 2022 and is currently at an average of 41.7°C, avoiding an estimated 192,000 tonnes of CO₂.

Changing the Defaults in Proteins. Insights and Transition Pathways of the LIKE-A-PRO Transition Arena

Co-created with food system actors from 22 countries, this report addresses the health and environmental benefits of plant-, ocean-, and fungus-based proteins, as well as the persistent gap between product availability and widespread dietary change. It highlights the cultural, market, and policy complexities involved in substituting meat and dairy, and emphasises the importance of aligning individual choices, institutional practices, and systemic efforts to make sustainable protein the new norm. The report aims to support a coordinated move from awareness to action toward a more resilient and sustainable food future.
