Internship SBE-Team

The Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) is offering an internship position in the Sustainable Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE) team.

Timeframe:  Starting date as soon as possible
Duration: 3 months
Working hours: 4 – 5 days per week (flexibility possible)
Location: CSCP office Wuppertal & Home office possible

The CSCP is an international nonprofit Think and Do tank that works with businesses, policy makers, partner organisations and civil society towards a good life. A team of currently 65 multi-disciplinary professionals contributes to the worldwide activities of the Centre.

Tasks

  • The intern will work approximately 50% of the time as support for the project „CSR.digital“ funded by the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs and the European Union: (https://csr-digital.org/). The project has a focus on digitalisation and sustainability and targets SMEs in the state of NRW. In particular the intern will support with event management, workshop development and various administrative tasks. Further tasks include:
  • Support with the research for and writing of project proposals on sustainable business, especially in the chemistry sector and in energy related projects on the African continent
  • Various research and support tasks in the different projects of the SBE team

Competencies

  • First working experience e.g. in research, portfolio assessment, supply chain management, marketing, customer relation management and social media management
  • Completed first degree (e.g. Bachelor) in relevant discipline, such as business administration, political science, economics, social psychology, behavioural science, sociology or other related feilds
  • Good academic and analytical skills
  • General understanding of sustainable consumption and production topics
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-reliant and committed
  • Good skills in basic computer usage

Language

The first working language at the CSCP is English; therefore fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Additionally, for this position also fluency in German (written and spoken) is required.
