“I’m grateful to be part of such a dynamic and supportive team”

Working as a Research Assistant at the CSCP has been a rewarding experience. I’ve been trusted with challenging tasks and provided support when needed. The collaborative culture transcends seniority and academic backgrounds, allowing us to learn from one another.

As an engineering student, I bring a systematic and structured style of working to the team, while gaining insights into communication and policy analysis from social scientists. My time at CSCP has not only honed my skills as an Environmental Scientist/Engineer but also contributed to my personal growth. I’m grateful to be part of such a dynamic and supportive team.

“You will feel inspired by colleagues who are intrinsically motivated to make a positive difference”

As part of my studies but also privately, I became particularly interested in the topic of sustainability. I was motivated to learn more about topics that my studies, due to their emphasis on policy and governance, did not fully cover. For instance, Circular Economy and sustainable business models.

Joining the CSCP allowed me to learn more about these topics and much more. From the first day, I was welcomed by a warm, supportive, and diverse team of colleagues. I was involved in a number of projects, such as FEASTS, focused on evaluating the sustainability of the cultured meat and seafood (CM/CSF) system and aiding its ethical and sustainable advancement; SteamBioAfrica, committed to facilitating the commercialization of a sustainable solid biofuel in Southern Africa; and I am currently working on Al-Invest Verde, a project seeking to develop a Voluntary Code of Conduct (VCC) for SMEs in Costa Rica.

The great thing about the CSCP is that the opportunities are truly endless. You might be involved in specific projects on a regular basis, but you will often have the chance to provide more ad-hoc support to other projects whenever there is a need. Moreover, through team meetings, social events and office talks, you will always feel inspired by colleagues who are intrinsically motivated to make a positive difference and who are kind and open-minded.
