Food contact regulation for plastics is essential in safeguarding health and safety standards and avoiding potential risks associated with harmful substances leaching from materials into food. This is particularly relevant when using recycled plastics.

Our MERLIN project has successfully developed recycled materials from multi-layer packaging waste, demonstrating compliance with the applicable food contact regulations to ensure these materials are safe for consumer use.
