Circular Cities Declaration Report 2022

The Circular Cities Declaration (CCD) 2022 report represents the most comprehensive assessment to date of Circular Economy practices in European cities. From November 2021 to January 2022, CCD signatories were asked to provide information on their Circular Economy activities, strategies and actions. For each action, they additionally provided a brief description of the scope, objective and involved actors as well as links to supporting documentation. Furthermore, signatories indicated what their future actions will be, what challenges they are facing and which CCD commitments they are making progress on. A total of 40 signatories reported on their activities, providing a unique glimpse into how the circular economy is implemented at the local level in Europe. The report is co-authored by ICLEI Europe and the Ellen McArthur Foundation with the contribution of the Circular Cities Declaration Support Partners as well as the declaration signatories. The CSCP is a support partner of the CCD.
