FEASTS: Multi-Stakeholder Map and Engagement Plan

Cultured meat and seafood (CM/CSF) are a promising alternative to conventional animal proteins, with potential benefits for health, animal welfare, and the environment. To support their sustainable development, the FEASTS project provides independent, multi-disciplinary insights into CM/CSF and their place in the food system. This report maps key stakeholder groups across the CM/CSF lifecycle—from producers and distributors to consumers, policymakers, and the conventional meat and seafood sector. It explores their motivations, challenges, and needs, supported by persona profiles that bring their perspectives to life. A principle-based engagement plan complements the analysis, guiding transparent and inclusive collaboration throughout the project. The report was reviewed and supported by EIT Food, New Harvest, IST-ID (Associação do Instituto Superior Técnico para a Investigação e Desenvolvimento) and GFI (Good Food Institute).
