Johannes joined the CSCP in 2024 as a Project Expert in the Sustainable Infrastructure, Products and Services (SIPS) team.

With 15 years of experience, Johannes is a sustainability expert who bridges economic theory with practical solutions. His work integrates research on well-being, ecological economics and biodiversity conservation into urban and regional planning frameworks.

With a PhD and diploma in economics, focusing on microeconomic theory, econometrics and happiness, Johannes combines analytical skills with behavioural insights. His career has evolved from academic research on environmental-economic accounts to freelance consulting on sustainable development and coordination of scientific projects addressing bio-economic challenges.

Johannes is adept at working across disciplines and has led multi-stakeholder initiatives linking nature-based solutions, ecosystem services and the Sustainable Development Goals. Beyond research, he is committed to knowledge transfer and community engagement, founding initiatives that drive social and environmental progress.

His approach combines academic rigor with implementation expertise, making complex sustainability concepts accessible and actionable for diverse stakeholders facing global challenges.
