He applies behavioural and psychological insights to the design of interventions, Living Labs, co-creation processes, and capacity-building approaches, while increasingly exploring how digitalisation and artificial intelligence shape consumer decision-making and sustainable behaviour. Areas of expertise Jannik works on the topics of behavioural science, sustainable consumption, environmental psychology, and participatory innovation. One of his main interests lies in understanding the attitude–behaviour gap and the psychological mechanisms that shape sustainable decisions, especially within digital or AI-supported contexts. Jannik has experience with facilitation and innovation approaches including Design Thinking and agile project management. Current work At the CSCP, Jannik provides methodological support for the design and implementation of behaviour change and stakeholder engagement activities across European and international sustainability projects. His current work includes designing co-creation and Living Lab processes, developing literacy and awareness-raising measures, developing capacity-building programmes for circular behaviour in households, and translating behavioural insights into practical interventions. In parallel, he contributes a psychological perspective to the CSCP’s work on digitalisation and artificial intelligence, with a particular interest in how people interact with generative AI and how these interactions can be designed to encourage more sustainable decisions. Previous experience Before joining the CSCP, Jannik worked in consulting across sectors including manufacturing, food, banking, and professional services. His work combined psychological and neuroscientific perspectives on decision-making with behavioural intervention design and project management. He also contributed to international IT strategy and transformation projects, providing experience in coordinating complex projects and working with diverse stakeholder groups. Education Jannik holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Business Information Systems and is completing a second M.Sc. in Applied Psychology with a focus on sustainability and resource orientation. His academic work investigates basic social motives as drivers of sustainable decision-making and how sustainable attitudes can be more effectively translated into actual behaviour. I’m fascinated by what shapes our decisions, from subtle cues in our environment to AI in digital spaces; curious how it works? Let’s get in touch.
