Kilian is highly engaged in driving sustainability transitions through both policy and business innovation. His primary focus is on transforming business models to become more future fit, with a particular emphasis on fostering the circular economy. At CSCP, Kilian conducts Hot Spot, Life Cycle and Portfolio Sustainability Assessments, helping businesses identify areas for improvement and guiding them toward more sustainable and circular practices. He collaborates with stakeholders from multinational companies to integrate eco-friendly initiatives into their existing product lines and operations. By helping these organizations craft comprehensive sustainability strategies, Kilian ensures that they not only meet regulatory requirements but also contribute to long-term business resilience. His work is key in embedding resource conservation, waste reduction, and product lifecycle optimization into corporate practices, ultimately fostering a more regenerative approach to economic activities. Kilian holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Bonn, where his studies mainly concentrated on the political challenges of large-scale transformation processes, such as the mobility and energy transition. His master’s thesis analyzed the decision-making process behind Portugal’s transition to renewable energies, providing valuable insights into the range of factors that influenced this transition. Alongside his academic work, Kilian gained practical experience at the Bundestag, where he supported a group of politicians, contributing to stakeholder engagement efforts. Through this role, he gained insight into how political actors collaborate and navigate decision-making processes in addressing complex policy issues. Kilian is a German national.
