She brings extensive professional experience in programme and project evaluations as well as advisory work for federal and state ministries, municipalities, and the foundation sector. Her methodological expertise lies in qualitative social research methods, which she applies confidently in interviews, focus groups, and the facilitation of diverse stakeholder groups.

In addition, she has supported internal and external teams in strengthening team building, developing shared working structures, and improving process quality.

Her thematic focus includes the participation of marginalised groups as well as urban and regional development. In a previous role at a think tank, Marietta designed and facilitated multi-stakeholder dialogues on conflictual and transformative issues in major cities, working at the intersection of urban development, participation, and political deliberation. As a former trainee at the European Commission (DG REGIO), she is well acquainted with the objectives and funding frameworks of European cohesion and structural policy.

Marietta has an academic background in International Relations and European Studies. Beyond a focus on migration, her work has covered a broad range of social issues, including strengthening democracy and fostering civil society and civic engagement.
