Co-created with food system actors from 22 countries, this report addresses the health and environmental benefits of plant-, ocean-, and fungus-based proteins, as well as the persistent gap between product availability and widespread dietary change. It highlights the cultural, market, and policy complexities involved in substituting meat and dairy, and emphasises the importance of aligning individual choices, institutional practices, and systemic efforts to make sustainable protein the new norm. The report aims to support a coordinated move from awareness to action toward a more resilient and sustainable food future.

By actively including underrepresented voices, we strengthen institutions, build legitimacy, and foster a shared sense of ownership.
