Meet us at the CircularTech Forum in Cologne on 30 November 2023!

Faced with the urgency to make production and consumption more sustainable, major global players have been discussing for years how to increase supply chain transparency, strengthen accountability, and mainstream circular solutions. With the upcoming Digital Product Passport (DPP) the European Union is raising the bar: all product information, from material sourcing through to end-of-cycle recycling, needs to be accessible and transparent. The DPP will be affixed to products in the form of an NFC chip, QR code, or RFID tag that any actor along the chain, be it a manufacturer, retailer, or consumer will be able to access.

As such, the Digital Product Passport can be one of the main levers toward accelerating the circular transition. To help establish a dialogue between the main stakeholders in the Circular Economy world and different Digital Product Passport initiatives in several key product value chains, the CircularTech Forum invites relevant actors to join the discussion on 30 November 2023 in Cologne, Germany.

The forum will bring together stakeholders from DPP initiatives in sectors such as Electric Vehicle Batteries, Electronics/ICT, Textiles, Furniture and Construction, leading Cicular Economy and digitalisation experts, innovators, and civil society representatives to explore the latest advancements and challenges in the field of Circular Economy and digital solutions such as the Digital Product Passport (DPP).

The forum agenda includes:

  • Inspiring keynotes from Circular Economy experts and EU policymakers
  • Panel discussions about the Economic Growth within the Circular Economy and the DPP System
  • Best practices of Circular Economy and Data Integration Start-Ups
  • High quality networking with relevant Circular Economy players

The CSCP Executive Director, Michael Kuhndt will hold a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the CircularTech Forum on the topic “Collaboration for Circularity along the Value Chain”. In his talk he will elaborate how the success factor for the DPP in fostering a sustainable Circular Economy hinges on the collaborative efforts of companies, civil society organisations, and regulatory bodies. “Only through collective action can the DPP’s potential be fully realised”, notes Kuhndt.
