“Bridging the Sustainability Skills Gap” – Meet Us at the EU Green Week on 8 June 2023 in Brussels!

Digitalisation holds great potential in helping industries to accelerate their decarbonisation journeys. A digital and future-oriented economy can enable Europe to strengthen its industrial position while driving climate neutrality. However, this ambition is strongly linked to the urgency of upskilling and reskilling EU citizens through a mix of policy interventions and industry solutions.

The EU Green Week partner event „Green Digital Skills for Sustainable Value Chains: Bridging the Sustainability Skills Gap“, hosted by the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) will shed light on current European policies and how these convert into industrial actions.

The one-day event will address the following questions:

  • What are the necessary conditions to enable green and digital upskilling?
  • How can policy innovations and accompanying industry solutions facilitate the speed and scale for green and digital upskilling?
  • What have companies done/are doing to upskill their workers, and how are they supporting their workforce to adapt to market fluctuations?
  • What are some examples in which upskilling workers have empowered them to contribute to company success?
  • Are there frameworks or systems thinking use cases that can be scaled up?

At the event, CSCP‘s Executive Director Michael Kuhndt will join the panel discussion on the topic “Global Industrial Collaboration for Sustainable Value Chains” on 8 June 2023 at 11:40. Kuhndt is also a board member of GeSI .
