Tackling Food Waste Together: Join the CHORIZO & ZeroW Final Conference on 16 September 2025! @CHORIZOproject Food waste is a pressing challenge across Europe, driving a surge of innovative solutions aimed at preventing and reducing it. However, one of the key questions remains: how can we work together to scale promising solutions? Join us at the final conference of our EU project CHORIZO and its sister project ZeroW to discover how cities, researchers, and businesses can collaborate to make real change happen – on 16 September 2025! For the past three and a half years, the two projects have brought together key actors to co-create solutions for preventing and reducing food waste. At the conference “Let’s Fight Food Waste Together!” we will showcase hands-on tools, real-world examples, and offer opportunities to connect with others dedicated to addressing food waste from diverse perspectives. The CHORIZO project took an innovative approach to tackling food loss and waste by gathering insights on social norms in a range of food-related settings and generating effective ways to apply behaviour change techniques in six real-life case study contexts. The six case studies included households, hotels, restaurants, schools, food banks, and date marketing. You can read more about them here. ZeroW worked in 9 Living Labs across Europe to test innovative solutions, from better data sharing in food supply chains to apps that link surplus food with local charities. At the final conference, you will hear directly from the project teams as they share insights, learnings, and suggestions for next steps. The conference agenda includes interactive sessions, policy discussions, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities to build the connections needed to scale up successful solutions. Whether you’re involved in local governance, food services, research, technology, or civil society, this is a chance to share ideas, explore new tools, and take the next step—together!
