Meet us at the Smart City Forum in Wuppertal on 13 November 2025!

Smart cities hold the promise of making urban life more sustainable, efficient, and responsive by using data and digital technologies to improve everything from mobility and energy to health and waste management. However, technology alone doesn’t make a city smart. Real progress depends on strong collaboration between citizens, government, academia, and business, as well as open data, transparent governance, and digital inclusion.

In 2022, the Smart City Wuppertal initiative was launched to drive Wuppertal’s digital transformation by connecting ideas, people, and innovation across the city. After three years of work, the initiative is about to start implementing three core projects: Smart Waste Tal, Gesundes Tal, and the DigiTal Twin.

The Smart City Forum on 13 November 2025 brings together key actors to discuss the status of these projects and other efforts toward making Wuppertal more digital and waste free.

The CSCP will be present at the forum on behalf of the Circular Cities project Smart Circular Wuppertal together with our project partners Neue Effizienz, Wuppertal Institute, Aufbruch am Arrenberg and the City of Wuppertal.

Join the forum and meet us at our stand to find out how we are planning to implement and enable digital circular economy practices and business models in Wuppertal.

In particular, learn how we’re putting this into practice through our two pilot projects, MehrwegTal, which focuses on packaging-free food supply chains and WiederGut, which works on strengthening the network of repair cafés in and around Wuppertal.
