PRECIOUS Addressing the Impacts of Food Loss Prevention and its Rebound Effects Food loss and waste (FLW) are one of the leading causes of greenhouse gas emissions on a global level. FLW also burdens waste management systems and exacerbates food insecurity, contributing significantly to the three global crises of climate change, and biodiversity loss, as well as pollution and waste. The new EU Horizon project, PRECIOUS aims to contribute reliable data on the environmental impacts of FLW to design better preventative actions and avoid rebound effects across the food supply chain, thereby creating more effective mechanisms to preserve our climate, protect biodiversity, and reduce waste. The CSCP leads the work on multi-actor engagement by facilitating stakeholder engagement in two Communities of Practice (CoPs) in Spain and Greece, and supporting other co-creation and replication cases with projects in three additional countries (Poland, Lithuania, Hungary). Involved actors will benefit from multiple stakeholder engagement activities, knowledge exchange, and other PRECIOUS tailored products and services. Further, by leading workshops on storytelling, the CSCP will support the emergence of a shared and coherent vision of the project’s goals among the project consortium. This enables consistent and impact-focused collaboration and communication, internally and externally. The PRECIOUS consortium consists of 18 partners from 11 EU countries led by the University of Deusto. The project is funded by the EU Horizon research and innovation program and will run over 4 years.
