Revolutionising ESG Training: How AI is Shaping the Future of Sustainable Workforces As sustainability becomes a critical priority, how can organisations efficiently train their workforce in essential environmental, social, and governance (ESG) skills? Through T-Systems’ X-Creation process, we are leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to revolutionise ESG training – making it more personalised, scalable, and effective. Learn how we’re driving this transformation with innovative, AI-powered solutions! T-Systems recently hosted a series of events in Germany in the cities of Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, and Bonn within its X-Creation process, bringing together innovators from technology companies, academia, and sustainability-focused organisations to co-create solutions that leverage AI for advancing sustainability. The CSCP was intensively involved in the work stream aimed at advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) training with the help of AI. The X-Creation process, centred on collaborative problem-solving, addressed a critical challenge: how to equip employees with the skills and knowledge they need to contribute to their organisation’s sustainability transformation. As more companies recognise the urgency of sustainability, the demand for ESG competencies across all roles has surged. Traditional training methods, however, struggle to meet this demand at scale. Throughout this series of events, the selected partners collaborated to develop AI-powered solutions that can make ESG training more relevant, personalised, and actionable. AI offers unique potential, such as tailoring training content to specific roles and existing knowledge levels as well as enabling the implementation of sustainable practices across industries. This process of co-creation fostered diverse perspectives, bringing together participants from tech giants, experts and academia, all focused on building scalable solutions. In our work stream, we moved beyond discussions to generate a small prototype that illustrates how AI can be used to enhance ESG training. This prototype serves as an initial step in creating intelligent content curation, personalised learning pathways, and practical application of sustainability practices in the workplace. Currently, we are evaluating how to take these achievements to the next level and continue refining the solutions that emerged from this process. This ongoing collaboration within the X-Creation process holds great potential for advancing the way organisations empower their workforce to integrate sustainability into their everyday roles.
