Toward a Sustainable Food System: The CSCP Joins EIT Food as a Delivery Partner The CSCP has launched a new partnership with EIT Food, a leading European initiative driving innovation in the food sector. This collaboration underscores our commitment to fostering sustainability in the food sector. As a community that brings people and places together to forge inclusive systems innovation, EIT Food offers a new opportunity to increasing our impact through targeted and smart collaborations. A shared vision for sustainable food systems At the CSCP we actively seek to engage in partnerships where all stakeholders can thrive and achieve shared goals. By becoming a Delivery Partner of EIT Food, the CSCP is set to connect with a wide network of EIT Food representatives and member organisations to exchange experiences, knowledge, and best practices, and implement impactful projects that benefit society as a whole. The CSCP is particularly keen on contributing to EIT Food’s priority initiatives, with a focus on diversifying proteins, empowering consumers to make healthier and more sustainable food choices, and supporting farmers and other food value chain actors in leading the transition toward a net-zero food system. These areas align closely with the CSCP goals, particularly those related to the food topic. A strong track record in food projects Food is one of the CSCP’s current key topics, a reflection of our solid foundation in projects aimed at achieving sustainable food systems. Our work on the food topic spans the entire value chain, from production to consumption and includes cross-cutting initiatives that bring together diverse stakeholders. On the production side, the CSCP focuses on creating sustainable value chains, assessing sustainable products, and increasing skills for more sustainable production. When it comes to consumption, the CSCP works to raise consumer awareness and empower individuals to make sustainable and healthy food choices. At both the production as well as the consumption level, we engage to create solutions that reduce food waste and loss. Engaging with EIT Food for greater impact Our holistic approach includes horizontal initiatives that drive multi-stakeholder engagement, foster collaboration, and provide strategic advice to key actors, allowing us to drive systemic change. By engaging with EIT Food, the CSCP aims to act as a catalyst for transformative change within the food system. Through active participation in EIT Food working groups and task forces, and together with other leading organisations, we aim to shape the future of food and empower consumers, producers, and other stakeholders to embrace sustainable practices and create lasting positive change. EIT Food is the world’s largest and most dynamic food innovation community working on accelerating innovation to build a future-fit food system that produces healthy and sustainable food for all. Supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, EIT Food invests in projects, organisations and individuals that share EIT Food goals for a healthy and sustainable food system.
