Skills and Competences for the Future: Join our CATALYST Event on 6 February 2024!

In a world racing against time to meet ambitious climate targets, increasing sustainability skills and competences should be on top of the agenda. In particular, the lack of comprehensive approaches to continuously build capacities for transformation in organisations such as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) need to be addressed with priority.

In response to this urgent need, the CSCP has teamed up with the German Sustainable Economy Association (BNW) and Bells Solutions to establish a joint European Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVe) in Germany as part of the CATALYST project. A key goal of the centre is to foster excellence in sustainability and management education and empower organisations in their journey towards sustainable transformation. It will do so by offering an interactive platform for learning, networking, and collaboration.

With the event “Sustainability Competences as the Key for Transformation”, which takes place in Berlin and online on 6 February 2024, the project will offer insights into its innovative approach to lifelong learning.

Dr. Katharina Reuter from the BNW will kick-off the event with a keynote on the topic “Sustainability Knowledge for Transformation.” Following this, an engaging panel discussion featuring representatives from sustainable companies and educational organisations will provide valuable insights into how sustainability competences can be mobilised and expanded in companies and to what extent these competences need to be embedded in an overall organisational level. The panelists are Lukas Marzi (On Purpose), Annette Mörler (Ökofrost), Samia Khallafi (Frizzforum) and Stephan Schaller (Wildling shoes).

Attendees will also be presented with a comprehensive overview of the overall CATALYST educational program, designed to bridge the green skills gap. Those attending in person, will also have the opportunity to join an interactive session, where multipliers from the education, research, and businesses will come together to engage in lively discussions, provide feedback and discover synergies with fellow attendees and project participants.
