Circularity at a Regional Level: Join Us at the Official Launch of the bergisch.kompetenz Project on 28 January 2025! Are you interested in learning how Circular Economy can look like in practice in a regional or city context? Our bergisch.kompetenz project, which is located in the Bergisch city triangle in Germany, is a case in point how different partners, including three regional manufacturing companies, are working together to create systemic circular solutions. Join us at the official launch of the project on 28 January 2025! The project focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the metal-based industry – a flagship of the region. Taking a hands-on approach, we explore and address important questions such as how does the actual circular transformation of companies look like, what are the challenges and pathways from business models to product innovation, and what industry and context-specific aspects need to be taken into account. In addition to directly working with the three involved companies, project partners will share their vast array of expertise on transformation processes as part of the project’s competence centre. At the competence centre, regional companies can find support on topics from strategic decision making to innovation to operational efficiency.
