Nora’s expertise lies in the field of sustainable consumption, sustainable lifestyles and communication which she combines with her valuable experience in working in multi-stakeholder settings.

Nora is the moderator and coordinator of the National Dialogue Forum for Reduction of Food Waste in the Wholesale and Retail Industry in Germany. She leads the contributions of CSCP to the European Topic Centre on Waste and Materials in a Green Economy (ETC/WMGE) on behalf of the European Environment Agency, and co-manages the German REFRESH activities on food waste, working with producers and retailers in the food sector. She was the overall coordinator for the EU FP7 projects SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050 and Action Town – Research and Action for SCP. Nora moderates and facilitates stakeholder meetings on various topics, and steers and supervises the organisation of numerous international events and workshops across Europe. She believes in the power of multi-stakeholder approaches, and actively  contributes to CSCP’s continuous development of its outreach to and involvement of stakeholder groups in innovative and interactive ways.

Before joining the CSCP, she worked as an environment expert to the EU’s LIFE (Financial Instrument for the Environment) programme and as a parliamentary assistant at the European Parliament, focusing on environmental policy and consumer protection issues. She also worked for the World Wide Fund for Nature and the European Environmental Bureau.

Nora has studied International Relations at the Technical University Dresden and McGill University in Montreal. She conducted her thesis on international water conflicts in close cooperation with the Institute of Organisational Communication (IFOK) and the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics.

Nora is a German national.
