How Digital Tools Can Help You Reduce Your Footprint: Test Our PSL Tool on 9 November 2022 in Solingen!

Breaking up with old routines or endorsing high-impact changes is not always a straightforward process. This is why options for sustainable behaviour should be flexible enough to fit the reality of life and the respective life phases of different people – what is difficult for one might be easy for another, and opposite.

Over the course of the past months, our PSLifestyle project has looked closely into questions such as, how can citizens be encouraged to reduce their personal carbon footprint through exemplary actions for a sustainable everyday life? How should these actions be formulated?  Which actions overlap or are duplicated and which ones are missing?

For the topics of housing, mobility, nutrition and general consumption, nearly 100 measures to reduce the personal carbon footprint were discussed and validated with citizens in multiple workshops. Ideas for further measures were contributed and discussed in workshops in Wuppertal, Solingen and Cologne. Lively exchanges took place, with tips, inspirations and interest to participate in follow-up steps.

These diverse and numerous results are currently being incorporated into the PSL Tool, an app designed to support citizens on their way to a more resource-efficient life. The PSLifestyle Tool will be launched next year in Germany and 7 other European countries.

Would you like to test the PSL Tool and give your direct feedback? Join our next workshop and be the first to test the app!
