Behaviour Change Interventions in Practice: Increasing e-bike commuting in “BIKEmode: From cars to e-bikes”

The Academy of Change (AoC) is an evidence-based capacity building programme on sustainable behaviour change designed for leaders working on climate change and sustainability engagement within the civil society sector. The Catalyst built upon the AoC programme by accelerating the integration and use of sustainable behaviour change know-how within civil society organisations (CSOs). Three projects from three different CSOs were selected and supported to implement behaviour change interventions.

This report is part of a three-report series written by the Catalyst pilot leads to share their learnings and advice on how to implement behaviour change interventions in practice. The report highlights the experience of CEED Bulgaria in developing, implementing and evaluating the “BIKEmode” project aimed at promoting e-bike commuting in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The report “Maintaining OurFish APP use” highlights the experience of Rare, a US-based CSO during its project on sustainable fishing, while the report “The Game of Showers” shares learnings from Hespul, a France-based CSO in reducing water consumption through gamification.
